Residence Inn by Marriott St. Petersburg Treasure Island

Late check-in, just needed for 1 night. The room was organized but definitely not clean. The matress had stains, and the worst was the bathroom. The toilet seat basically touched the bathtub. Every time you pee, water starts to go up at the point you think is going to overflow. Beds are uncomfortable. The only thing I like was the view of the beach out of the room. For me, it was overpriced

My mother stayed here for 3 days over the Christmas holiday. the room was clean and had more appliances than we expected (kitchen sink, microwave, medium-sized fridge). The service was even better! everyone there was so sweet and accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was great and complimentary. Private beach access directly from the rooms. Would definitely book again!

This hotel was perfect for our weekend getaway with our daughter. Great location and very friendly staff-the entire staff from the front desk to maintenance. Everyone we encountered was amazingly friendly. Great breakfast included. The room was very nice and the property is well taken care of. Nice pool and the beach was perfect. I loved the affordable option to rent lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach, one less thing to bring and carry. Will definitely stay here again!

I was impressed with the friendliness of staff and the service provided, as well as the cleanliness of the facilities. A special thanks to the gentleman at the breakfast bar who fixed waffles for us every day after I ruined mine using the supposedly foolproof waffle maker. The breakfast was delicious and the view from the room was gorgeous!

This is a fabulous hotel right on the Gulf of Mexico on beautiful Treasure Island. The front desk staff are so friendly, knowledgeable of the area, & helpful. And, they can really multi-task. The rooms are clean & spacious. Housekeeping keeps them sterling clean & are responsive to any special requests, like extra towels, etc... I love that they have fully equipped kitchens, which makes it great to stock up on groceries, for when not dining out. They have parking under the building for guests staying at the hotel, which keeps your vehicle clean & cool. A really cool feature is a full liquor hotel bar, where they will even make frosty alcoholic drinks like Pina Coladas, Margaritas, etc..., that you can take to the beach. The pool area is clean & well stocked with towels. And, directly on the beach, cabanas are available to rent, if that suits your beach needs. The free coffee & breakfast are typical hotel food, not great but perfectly acceptable & good to eat. The location is very close to the awesome Treasure Island breakfast options, eateries, bars, local retail beach stores & souvenir shops, & ice cream parlors. The only negatives are the elevators are very slow, & they charge an extra $20 per day for parking. But, in my opinion, this Treasure Island hotel is a hundred times better than similarly priced Treasure Island hotels.

We enjoyed a great weekend getaway at this Marriott Residence Inn on Treasure Island in every way. Much appreciation to the fine staff Tanya, Tessa, Kenesha and Dora and the staff members who's name we didn't get but all were absolutely great to us. Each day everyone of these employees greeted us, checked if we needed anything and were all more than happy to do anything at all to make sure our stay was the perfect experience. Our room on the 9th floor was immaculate and comfortable with a great Gulf view looking North. The pool area is well stocked with fresh towels and a hot tub. The breakfast included had pretty much all most would want and the dining area is well maintained and organized. There's a nice bar by the dining area with good selections of beer, wine & cocktails and nice restaurants, shops, ice cream parlors within walking distance along Gulf Blvd. All in all we had one of the best Staycations we've had in a long time at this Treasure Island Residence Inn, the entire staff were absolutely wonderful we highly recommend and we look forward to returning soon.

All I can say is that because this is in a great location it does not get a 1 star. If you want to go to the beach this is not a bad solution, however as a property it is in rough shape. We had a room by the elevator and all we heard all night long was the elevator motor, so annoying. The kitchen in the room was nice but the refrigerator was hammered, there were dents all over it. The ceilings were nice and high but the décor reminded me of the 80's. Everything seemed old and worn down and painted over way too many times. Having stayed at hundreds of Marriott's around the world, I would not book this again and I cannot recommend it.
